AMRAP calculator
An AMRAP top set turns one hard set into a 1RM estimate. Enter the weight and how many reps you hit to failure, and this calculator projects your one-rep max — handy for testing progress without maxing out.
Enter your all-out top set.

Worked example
A top set of 100 kg for 8 reps to failure estimates a 1RM of about 125.5 kg — meaning that set was roughly 80% of your max.
Frequently asked questions
- What is an AMRAP set?
- AMRAP means 'as many reps as possible' — a single all-out set taken to (or near) technical failure at a fixed weight. It's a common way to test progress without attempting a true single.
- How does an AMRAP estimate my 1RM?
- The weight and rep count are run through the Epley and Brzycki formulas, the same math behind a one-rep-max calculator. The more reps you do, the less precise the estimate becomes.
- How many AMRAP reps are ideal for an accurate estimate?
- Stop around 3–8 reps from a heavy set. Beyond ~10–12 reps the estimate drifts, because rep capacity at sub-maximal loads varies a lot between lifters.
